Piccadilly Motors have entered a team into the German equivalent of the Knaresborough Bed Race. Piccadilly’s team the “Piccadilly Plodders” will travel by road to Friedrichroda on the 3rd July to make sure they arrive in time for the pre-race festivities on the eve of the race.
The team consists of six male runners including Piccadilly’s Managing Director, Simon Watts and the Dealer Principal, Jason Lovell. The German organisers have kindly agreed to lend us a bed for the race and also a local female steerer who will be familiar with the route.
Friedrichroda is approx 15 miles away from Knaresborough’s twin town of Bebra and if the team have enough time they plan to pay it a visit. During our stay we intend to take lots of photographs before, during and after the race so watch out for further updates to this news section.
