Alfa Romeo & Fiat Dealer Principal receives AMA accreditation
Added: 2nd July 2010
The IMI has launched a ground-breaking scheme to address the skills gap in automotive retail management that will raise the profile of the sector and ultimately increase dealership efficiency and profitability - and improve customer satisfaction.
The scheme, launched at the CBI during May, is called Automotive Management Accreditation (AMA). It has been created following three years of research of the market and consultation with more than 400 employers and stakeholders. The empahsis is firmly on providing a consistent management assessment and development structure that can be benchmarked throughout automotive retailing.
Jason Lovell, Dealer Principal at our Knaresborough Branch for Fiat and Alfa Romeo manages 36 employees in the three dealership group. He comments "AMA has worked well for us since time away from the business is costly. Having the assessment on site was convenient. It focused the mind on what constitutes success and in particular, how staff see me. I like to think I will be the first of many in my group to receive AMA accreditation"
